No. Callaway Construction Inc. is an independent, owner-run remodeling company in Gretna, started in 1995 and run by Chris Cannon. We're not affiliated with any other builder or company using the Callaway name.

Kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishes, decks and covered decks, additions and covered porches, and interior carpentry like stair remodels, wainscot, built-ins and laundry rooms. Whole-floor remodels down to a single staircase.

Chris. He walks the house, writes the bid, runs the crew and answers the phone. One crew and one point of contact from the first walkthrough to the final one.

It depends on the scope: a bathroom is faster than a basement, and an addition takes longest because it starts with a foundation. You get a written schedule with the bid, and if anything changes you hear about it before it costs you.

Yes. Any job that needs a permit (basement finishes, decks, additions, and kitchens or baths that move plumbing or electrical) is permitted under Callaway Construction Inc., and the inspections are scheduled into the job. It's in the bid, not a surprise.

Yes. The bedroom gets a code-sized egress window, and the bath goes on the slab rough-in or on an ejector pump if the fixtures sit below the sewer line. Rec room, bar, media wall and storage round it out.

Yes. Composite or wood decking, black aluminum or wood railing, stairs to the yard, and covered sections or full porch roofs engineered for snow load. Footings go below the frost line on every deck.

Every job is bid line by line after Chris walks the house, so you see what each part costs and can adjust it. There is no price sheet because no two houses are the same; the walkthrough and the bid are free.
